1. Website Terms vs. Rental Agreement

These Terms govern your use of our Website and online services.

If you rent a storage unit, parking space, or other space from a Legacy Self Storage location, your rental is also governed by a separate rental or occupancy agreement (“Rental Agreement”).

If there is any conflict between these Terms and your Rental Agreement concerning your storage space, account, rent, access, lien rights, stored property, insurance or protection requirements, fees, termination, or other terms of occupancy, the Rental Agreement will control.

Individual facilities may be owned or operated by different legal entities and may have additional location-specific rules, policies, or contractual terms.

2. Eligibility and Authorized Use

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes.

To enter into a storage Rental Agreement or complete a legally binding rental transaction, you must be at least 18 years old or otherwise have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

By submitting information through the Website, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

You may not use the Website:

  • For fraudulent, deceptive, illegal, or unauthorized purposes;
  • To impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, computer systems, databases, or networks;
  • To interfere with or disrupt the Website or its operation;
  • To introduce viruses, malicious code, or other harmful technology;
  • To scrape, harvest, copy, or collect Website data through automated means without our written authorization; or
  • In any manner that violates applicable federal, state, or local law.

3. Storage Unit Availability

Storage unit availability is subject to change without notice.

Units displayed as available online may be rented, reserved, withdrawn from availability, or otherwise become unavailable before you complete your transaction.

A reservation, quote, or online inquiry does not create a rental relationship unless and until all required rental documentation has been completed and accepted and any required amounts have been paid.

Where applicable, a reservation may hold or preserve a quoted rate for a limited period but may not guarantee that a particular unit remains available.

4. Unit Sizes and Property Information

Storage unit dimensions shown on the Website are approximate and are provided for general informational purposes.

Actual dimensions, door sizes, ceiling heights, layouts, configurations, and usable storage space may vary by facility or individual unit.

Photographs, illustrations, virtual tours, maps, diagrams, size guides, and other images are intended to help customers evaluate their storage options but may not represent the exact unit available for rental.

Customers are encouraged to contact the applicable facility with questions concerning the size or features of a particular storage unit.

5. Pricing

Rental rates and other prices displayed on the Website are subject to availability and change.

Unless otherwise stated, displayed rental rates generally refer to the recurring base rental rate for the selected unit and may not include taxes, administrative fees, insurance or tenant protection charges, lock charges, or other fees that may apply.

Pricing may differ by:

  • Facility;
  • Storage unit size or type;
  • Availability;
  • Rental date;
  • Rental method;
  • Promotional program;
  • Online versus in-store rental; or
  • Other market or operational considerations.

Online pricing may be available only when a reservation or rental is initiated or completed through the Website.

The applicable Rental Agreement and rental checkout process will identify the charges associated with a particular rental.

6. Promotions, Discounts, and Special Offers

From time to time, Legacy Self Storage may offer promotional rates, introductory discounts, coupons, referral offers, or other special promotions.

Unless specifically stated otherwise:

  • Promotions are available only on qualifying new rentals;
  • Promotions may apply only to participating facilities, selected unit types, or selected unit sizes;
  • Promotions are subject to availability;
  • Promotions may not be combined with other offers;
  • Limitations may apply to transfers, existing customers, or additional units;
  • Promotional discounts generally apply to base monthly rent only;
  • Taxes, administrative fees, insurance or tenant protection charges, lock charges, and other fees may still apply; and
  • Promotional offers may be modified, withdrawn, or discontinued at any time to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Additional restrictions may be stated in the advertisement or promotional offer.

7. Reservations and Online Rentals

The Website may allow you to reserve or rent storage space online.

You are responsible for reviewing all information presented during the reservation or rental process before submitting your transaction.

Completing an online rental may require you to:

  • Provide identification and contact information;
  • Provide payment information;
  • Accept a Rental Agreement;
  • Accept facility rules or policies;
  • Provide emergency or alternate contact information;
  • Select or acknowledge applicable insurance or tenant protection requirements; and
  • Electronically sign documents.

A rental is not final until the applicable facility or rental system confirms acceptance of the transaction.

Legacy Self Storage reserves the right to decline, cancel, or correct a reservation or transaction when reasonably necessary because of availability issues, technical errors, incorrect pricing, suspected fraud, incomplete information, or other legitimate business reasons, subject to applicable law.

8. Payments and Customer Accounts

Certain areas of the Website may allow customers to make payments or access account information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.

If you believe your account credentials have been compromised or used without authorization, please contact the applicable Legacy Self Storage facility promptly.

Payments made through the Website may be processed by third-party payment processors. Your financial institution, card issuer, or payment processor may impose additional terms or fees.

Payment through the Website does not modify any payment obligations, due dates, late-fee provisions, lien rights, or other obligations contained in your Rental Agreement.

9. Autopay

Where offered, customers may elect to enroll in automatic payments.

Enrollment in autopay authorizes the applicable payment method to be charged according to the authorization provided during enrollment and the terms of your Rental Agreement.

Customers are responsible for maintaining valid and current payment information.

Enrollment in autopay does not guarantee successful payment and does not relieve the customer of responsibility for ensuring that amounts due are paid on time.

10. Website Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information, but we do not guarantee that every description, rate, promotion, image, facility feature, access hour, office hour, unit size, availability status, or other item displayed on the Website will always be complete, current, or error-free.

Errors may occasionally occur.

We reserve the right to correct typographical, pricing, technical, or other errors and to update Website content when appropriate.

If an error materially affects a transaction you have already submitted, we will address the matter in accordance with applicable law and the terms governing that transaction.

11. Facility Features and Services

Amenities and features vary by facility.

References on the Website to features such as climate-controlled storage, gated access, electronic access systems, surveillance cameras, lighting, vehicle storage, drive-up access, online payments, or other amenities do not mean that every feature is available at every Legacy Self Storage location.

Customers should review the applicable facility page or contact the facility directly to confirm specific features.

References to security-related measures should not be interpreted as a guarantee or warranty against theft, loss, damage, unauthorized access, or other events.

Your obligations concerning stored property and risk of loss are governed by your Rental Agreement.

12. Links and Third-Party Services

The Website may contain links to, integrations with, or services provided by third parties.

Examples may include mapping providers, payment processors, review platforms, storage management software, smart-entry systems, insurance or tenant-protection providers, social media platforms, advertising partners, and other technology or service providers.

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Legacy Self Storage does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

A link to a third-party service does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of that third party.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and the content made available through it—including text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs, page layouts, videos, icons, software, trademarks, service marks, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Legacy Self Storage or the applicable rights holder.

You may access and use Website content for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with evaluating or using Legacy Self Storage services.

You may not, without appropriate authorization:

  • Reproduce or republish substantial portions of the Website;
  • Modify or create derivative works from Website content;
  • Sell, license, or commercially exploit Website content;
  • Remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
  • Use Legacy Self Storage trademarks or branding in a manner that implies an unauthorized relationship or endorsement; or
  • Copy Website content for use on another commercial website or service.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

14. Customer Communications

When you provide Legacy Self Storage with a telephone number, email address, or other contact information, we may use that information to communicate with you concerning inquiries, reservations, rentals, accounts, payments, facility operations, customer service matters, and other transactions you initiate.

Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any consent or preferences you have provided.

You may opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in the message.

Where marketing text messages are offered, applicable opt-out instructions will be provided with those communications.

Opting out of marketing communications does not necessarily prevent Legacy Self Storage from sending non-marketing communications that are reasonably necessary to administer your account, rental, transaction, or customer-service request.

Message and data rates may apply to text messages depending upon your wireless plan.

15. Electronic Communications and Signatures

By interacting with the Website, you acknowledge that certain transactions may be conducted electronically.

Where permitted by law and where you provide any required consent, electronic records, notices, acknowledgments, and signatures may be used in connection with your transaction.

Electronic acceptance of an agreement may have the same legal effect as signing a paper document.

You are responsible for maintaining the hardware, software, internet access, and valid email address needed to receive and retain electronic communications.

16. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Third-party services accessible through the Website may maintain separate privacy policies.

17. Website Availability

We attempt to maintain reliable access to the Website but do not guarantee that the Website, customer portal, rental system, payment functionality, online chat, or other digital services will always be available.

Services may occasionally be interrupted because of maintenance, system updates, internet outages, cybersecurity events, third-party failures, circumstances beyond our control, or other operational issues.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or replace Website functionality from time to time.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

LEGACY SELF STORAGE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WE DO NOT MAKE WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR AVAILABILITY OF WEBSITE CONTENT EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED.

Nothing in this section modifies any rights or obligations expressly established in an applicable Rental Agreement or rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEGACY SELF STORAGE AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, FACILITY OPERATORS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING SOLELY FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE WEBSITE.

This limitation does not apply where such limitation is prohibited by law and does not replace or modify liability provisions contained in your Rental Agreement with respect to your storage space or stored property.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above will apply only to the extent permitted by law.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Website, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement of the legal rights of another person.

This provision does not create liability where such liability would be prohibited by applicable law.

21. Governing Requirements

Your use of the Website is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Rental transactions may also be subject to laws specific to the state in which the applicable storage facility is located.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive consumer rights or other rights that cannot legally be waived.

Any dispute concerning your rental or occupancy of storage space will also be subject to the dispute resolution, governing law, venue, or other provisions contained in the applicable Rental Agreement.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes to our Website, services, technology, operations, or legal requirements.

When these Terms are materially revised, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Unless otherwise required by law, revised Terms will apply to Website use occurring after they become effective.

Changes to these Website Terms do not automatically modify an existing Rental Agreement.

23. Severability

If any portion of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

24. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future.

25. Entire Agreement Regarding Website Use

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and Legacy Self Storage regarding use of the Website.

They do not replace your Rental Agreement or other agreements governing specific products, services, facilities, or transactions.
